Criminal Defense in Federal Courts

Federal Court has jurisdiction over crimes that occur on Federal land or in more than one state. Border and immigration crimes also are argued in Federal Court, which also prosecutes large scale fraud, conspiracies, narcotics offenses, as well as securities and banking fraud.

Many federal criminal cases involve long term investigations by the FBI, CIA, ICE, DEA, and other federal agencies. Other crimes that can be prosecuted in Federal Court include white-collar crimes, identity theft, tax invasion, mortgage fraud, bribery, wire fraud, counterfeiting, securities fraud, drug offenses, bank fraud, kidnapping, and terrorism. Mr. Geller handled each of these types of cases with associates in other states. He has represented clients in Federal Courts in Idaho, Utah, Iowa, Virginia, Guam, Arizona, Nevada, and in all Federal Courts in California.

Defending Clients Charged With a 20 Year Drug Conspiracy
Recently, Mr. Geller completed a defense of a 20-year alleged drug conspiracy that was supposedly in Seattle, Park City, Boise, Sun Valley, and Encinitas. The client was facing a sentence of 20 years. Rather than handing down a lengthy prison sentence, the Federal District Court in the District of Idaho handed down a sentence of approximately 5 years in length, with drug rehabilitation.

Mr. Geller has represented defendants in bribery cases, mortgage fraud cases, and complicated conspiracies. Presently, he represents clients charged with bribing a government official, complex mortgage fraud-Ponzi scheme conspiracies, and complex banking fraud cases.

Criminal Defense For Import of Marijuana or Cocaine, Alien Smuggling, Robbery, Tech...
Other representative cases include importing marijuana, importing cocaine, alien smuggling, bank robbery, computer crime, and miscellaneous white-collar crimes. Mr. Geller also has handled minor offenses on government reservations as well as drunk driving (DUI) on military bases. Mr. Geller has long-standing relationships with the Federal District Court Judges, Magistrate Judges, and the entire staff of the United States Attorneys office.
